ABOUT IBENDENMARK + KAUA’I
Iben (EE-ben) Dwight spent her first 19 years living in Denmark. Kaua’i has been her home since 1997. Scandinavian sensibilities and island living merge. Her passion for decor inspired her to start experimenting with art. After 10 years of creating art for her home and friends, she was encouraged to go public. Her first collection “Wailua Palms” can be found at Sway in Kilauea and Hanalei.
Facts about me:
I was born and raised in Skødstrup, Denmark.
When I was 10 years old, I watched Blue Hawaii and told my mom that I wanted to go to Hawaii. Nine years later, I arrived on Kaua'i.
In 1998 the paintbrush came out. My husband and I finished building our Scandinavian-inspired home on Kaua’i. When shopping for wall art, I had a difficult time finding art that matched our home. This became my motivation for creating art, to create art that matched my style.
Wedding Event planning and interior decor staging are a part of my life.
I'm married to a photographer and a mother to Malina and Makai.
